Chronic immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs), such as spondyloarthritis (SpA), arise from a complex mix of genetic, environmental, and immune system factors, leading to inflammation and tissue damage. Current treatments, especially second-line options, are limited, highlighting the urgent need for innovative therapies. Traditional drug discovery has focused on highly selective “magic bullet” drugs targeting single molecules, but this approach often falls short for complex diseases like SpA.
To address this, we use a network pharmacology approach that targets multiple pathways simultaneously. Our novel strategy, Triple Target Activation (TTA), activates three key anti-inflammatory targets to restore immune balance. Supported by AI-driven drug design, this method aims to suppress chronic inflammation more effectively than single-target drugs. We have completed lead candidate optimization and secured funding for proof-of-concept studies, with plans for preclinical development pending additional investment.
